Disparity between genders in the workforce has been detrimental, but research shows that increasing diversity is not only good for the company, but the economy as a whole. There is approximately 4.07 million unfilled cybersecurity positions in the world to date. Diversity, or there lack of, is a direct link to this figure. Women are dramatically underrepresented in the cybersecurity space, as they make up a mere 20% of the workforce globally and only 5% in the Middle East region alone.
