LIFE & TIMES OF THE SUPER-HACKER
Bryan Seely is a world-renowned cybersecurity expert, ethical hacker, author and former U.S. Marine. Seely became one of the most famous hackers in 2014 when he became the only person to ever wiretap the United States Secret Service and FBI. This move almost got him arrested, but in the end was hailed a hero for courageously walking up to their offices and sharing the recordings.
In August of 2014, Seely and another security expert de-anonymized the highly valued mobile app, Secret. This feat added to his fame and he was instantly featured on the front page of Wired.com, CNNMoney, CNET, Forbes and the Washington Post — all on the same day.
Since then, Bryan has written a book, uncovered 20+ million Social Security Numbers and exposed major high-profile flaws in LinkedIn. Seely also landed a consulting gig with Secret, and Mark Cuban personally contacted him to provide mobile application security / ethical hacking services for his tech investment, Cyberdust.
Bryan Seely is now an Advisor to John McAfee and his company MGT, where he helps develop the cyber security techniques that actually work for our modern digital age.
