Nimbus Technologieberatung GmbH

Stand: C-18-11

Nimbus Technologieberatung GmbH was established two decades ago as an independent consulting company for IT security, trustworthy identity architectures and technology con-sulting with the intention of providing the highest quality service and practicable solutions to clients with a timely and cost-effective implementation.

Our competency can be accounted for by our long-standing assignment to innovative pro-jects such as ISIS-MTT, European Bridge-CA, Signaturbündnis (Signature Alliance), and the telematics service infrastructure of the electronics health card (Gematik). Our referring clients are German and international IT-security companies as well as national authorities such as the German Federal Ministry of Economics and the German Federal Office for In-formation Security.

Nimbus is an active member of, among others, the “Sichere Identität Berlin Brandenburg” (Secure Identity Berlin Brandenburg (Vice-Chair)). Additionally, several of our team mem-bers contribute to committees and serve on boards like the CA/Browser Forum, TeleTrusT, BITKOM, CEN and ETSI ESI and specialist task forces (STF). Within the framework of ETSI engagements, we helped develop several documents that now provide the basis for the European standard in security requirements for TSPs. In the previous year, we also forged an initiative exploring practical possibilities for joining legal frameworks and security standards as a global effort. We are at the forefront of expert knowledge in the field, demonstrated by our various invitations to speak at events such as the RSA Conference, ISSE, Asia PKI Forum, CA-Day, ENISA TSP Forum, NIST, UNCITRAL Working Group IV and the OmniSecure-Show

We regularly publish our expert contributions about the topics of identity management and corresponding standardization. Our emphasis lies on new European guidelines for the EU Regulation COM(2014)910 for electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market. Please visit our website for a list of successfully completed projects, conference talks and publications from the past two dec-ades.
